Major League Baseball Extra Innings, the satcater will provide up to 40
high-definition games a week. Last year DirecTV signed seven year
contract with MLB at an exclusive deal of $700 million. DirecTV's
competitor Dish Network, did not offer the package of out-of-market'
baseball games during the 2007 season. Dish Network's spokesman Parker
McConachie has confirmed to TVPredictions.com that they would not carry
Extra Innings during the 2008 season.
